The international festival of Architecture and Design of Logroño, Concéntrico, has established in 2019 a new collaboration with the Métropole de Rouen Normandie (France) and its biennial of monumental art, La Forêt Monumentale.

Concéntrico and La Forêt Monumentale join forces to propose an urban intervention in the city of Rouen through an ephemeral installation that evokes the natural heritage and forest of this French city. The programme of the French biennial includes 12 monumental works that form a route in the forest that embraces the city. The reflection on the urban domain and the enhancement of the natural heritage are brought together in this proposal.

The Forêt project of the Madrid architectural studio Mecanismo, founded by Pedro Rica Bayo and Marta Urtasun Martínez-Fresneda, was the winning installation of the call to which more than 60 projects were submitted. It was located in the Saint Sever neighbourhood between 20 September and 20 October 2019, being the only urban piece of the La Forêt Monumental biennial.

This proposal is completed with the exhibition that has shown all the projects submitted to the international call and that can be visited at Maison de l’architecture de Normandie – le Forum until 26 November.
